books i'm reading
luann recommended this one...i like it. it tries to get at the reason behind your disorganization. she says that everybody's got some place (however small) that is organized. (that doesn't mean neat, that means you know where things are and where they go) and encourages you to figure out what is particular about that that enables you to keep it organized. she then encourages you to work with your habits instead of trying to discipline yourself into new ones to create a system which will work for you. after reading the first half and skimming the second i've decided that i am a highly organized individual who lacks space and money to get myself up to the level of organization i crave.
this one i'm reading a page or so at a time before bed. so far i've learned that if dave's work offers a matching program we need to start contributing to his 401k right away and that a roth ira is way better (for our situation) than the traditional ira that some banker talked me into a year ago.

I don't know what happened to me (I think it was the fact that we finally have the space), but I suddenly woke up in our new house as a strangely obsessive organizer and neat-freak. I used to have everything in such a mess, and now my room is actually neater than Mark's!
