isaiah is 1!

isaiah's birthday was on friday, and he is officially no longer a baby. when ellen turned one, dave felt a huge sense of relief, but it wasn't a big deal to me. with isaiah, however, i've been breathing easier since friday. once a kid is one, it all just seems so much easier - they can eat just about anything, they can sit facing forward in a car seat and the sids rate goes down to almost insignificance. everything is safer after one. somehow i was never worried about ellen, but since isaiah's been sick so often and just not as intuitively easy over all... i'm sooo glad he's one. mom and wood came over and helped us ring in the new year. our camera is still rather moody so i let her take most of the pictures. hopefully either she'll post some soon, or i'll get them and post them. but here's the two or so i got. i talked mom into giving isaiah the wooden train set from ikea. ellen and he both like it almost as much as me.
