dave has had a productive morning

first he found (they 'startled' him when he was getting a jacket) and caught two mice that had been outsmarting us since before thanksgiving. (notice my hand pressing firmly on the box to ensure there is no escape.) i'd like to say the two mice, but its too early to be certain. they were in our hall closet, eating crackers that i forgot to clean out of a diaper bag i used last month. (not gonna make that mistake again.) they had made a nest in the bottom of my wedding dress bag. those dirty rotten little rodents. i'm not really 100% sure why i'm saving my dress - but it was expensive and that seems like what you're supposed to do. so now i need to get it cleaned and stored properly i guess. and then he started doing some digging following the pipes in the ground that the plumber needed to see. now they're working together to reroute the pipes up through the attic. so even though he took a day off work, we're really making/saving several hundred dollars that we would have had to pay for plumber labor (these guys make bank!)
