isaiah's a genius

he's been practicing taking steps. he'll only do one at a time, but i think any minute he's going to bust out running. he's happy to walk for a long time holding onto fingers, even for a while holding on with just one of his hands. and you can tell he's only using you for mental support. he's also got a couple signs down - he nods his head yes, and shakes it no. and claps his hands for more, waves goodbye - mostly to books after we read them - and does the sign for drink. and he says mama, dad (da!) ellen (nana) balloon/ball (ba). yesterday he discovered matchbox cars and fell in love. he likes to hold one in each hand and when he's on the floor he pushes them around and says "vroom vroom" (maybe more like "vaaa vaaa!")
